Full Circle
A journey through the decades I've lived – one track for each, from 1962 to now, all built on an 80s electronic backbone. From the Hayling Island dodgems to the clubs of Portsmouth and Southsea, this is my story, in my own voice.
About
Born in 1962, I grew up in and around Portsmouth. From the age of 13 I was working at the fairground at Hayling Island, and from the age of 18 I graduated to the dodgems. My nights out were spent in the pubs and clubs of Portsmouth, Southsea and the surrounding areas – and it all began on Hayling Island, with fond memories of the Solent Club and Blazes in the 80s. Long gone now, but never forgotten.
I've wanted to make music ever since I first heard the synths of the 80s. Back then the gear was far too expensive. Now the technology has caught up, and making these tracks feels like coming full circle.
Expect fast, club-length tracks – Soft Cell, Depeche Mode and OMD in the DNA, with a bit of 70s glam stomp, punk and old-school rave thrown in.
